Can You See It? How About Now?

I received a beautiful gift from my sister,  Rosenet. Can you see it in my bedroom?

How about from this angle? Oh, it's so lovely and fits perfectly in my pretend "Bed and Breakfast Dream Room". It's thick and therapeutic and in my colors too.
You can sit over here to rest your feet on it. Did you guess what it is? Can you see it? How about now?
It took four king size sheets in wide strip so it's not thin or flat. I have always enjoyed having my cup of tea and resting in my private getaway room but now I can't wait to kick off my shoes and enjoy the love that my sissy gave to me.
My sister wanted me to have a gift with her time and energy to know that she loves me. She has been making these rugs for her sisters so we can each have one with her love. There is much sweetness in her gift to me.

Rose, thank you so very much. I love you, too.

My Big Yard Sale Find

Memorial Day Week-end Finds

There are yard sales everywhere in the neighborhood and I determined not to stop at any one of them. Then I saw the small antique hutch and suddenly I was pulling over, walked directly to the lady calling out the prices of each item and I asked how much?
50.00

I said to her, "Remember me, I am going to the bank to get cash and I will be right back. Don't sell it to anyone else". I allowed myself to buy this one thing and that's it, but I took out a little extra just in case. When I came back there were more things put out for sale and as the day progressed they kept bringing out more as the lady stated "to get rid of". I asked if it was an estate sale and it came as a surprise to me when she said, "No, but who needs all these old things", (Huh?) She would give a price and then ask if it was too high? The prices were so low I determined once I spent my limit, not to buy anymore since I have no room in my home for anything else.

This is a project where I will need to sand and paint in the dark choco-black and then distress it. It will be a great bit of fun with lasting reward.

Have a wonderful start on your Memorial Day week-end; I did.
