Traditions

Each year we decide if we are going to do something new to add to our traditional holidays. There was a time when I would only cook Onion Pie for Thanksgiving Day but this year I will be adding it to my Christmas breakfast with the traditional Pull-A-Part cinnamon rolls. Yummm. What!! You never heard of Onion Pie? It is a must in our home. Sort of a quiche that I would serve with the turkey all wrapped in bacon. Oh, say no more, I am making myself hungry!  ;-)

 

Our morning starts with the Christmas story in Luke then we open our gifts then we sit to breakfast and enjoy each others company. Something about that morning that lingers throughout the day; family, caring, thankfulness, remembering the birth of our Lord that deep inside our hearts we are joined together with a hope so strong that nothing can break the cords that connect us to God's goodness. We are a blessed people and so are you.
