Share the Gift

I have so many asking about the dōTERRA essential oils: which one to use for this or is there an oil for such and such. My answer is always, "Yes!" Someone needed an oil for eczema: Thyme. Another needed an oil for migraines: Lavender. Yes, lavender. I used it when I was trying to cut out the caffeine and was experiencing headaches that would last all day long. All I had with me was the lavender oil. I applied the lavender and what a relief I could just feel the easing off from the migraine. It's also good for mood swings, depression, high blood pressure, anxiety, and so much more.

Essential for You: dōTERRA Essential Oils

As you know from a previous post, I have joined the other Wellness Advocates in the doTERRA family to promote better health and live my life more abundantly. The more information you have the more you can see why the essential oils are such a vital part for our good health and doTERRA oils are of the highest grade of essential oils you can find.

I would like for you to learn more about doTERRA Essential OilsSo, here's an invitation to you for a one-on-one consultation at your convenience in your home or office. Come see and find what your body has been needing for a long time. And why you want to use doTERRA essential oils.

Peppermint is good for acne, pain, migraines, hot flashes, nausea, mood swings and so much more.

One drop of Lemon essential oil makes one glass of lemonade. But is is also good for bacteria such as acne; use it topically. Lemon essential oil has many benefits to take internally, topically, and aromatic on a daily basis.

I like to mix the Wild Orange and Peppermint and feel as if I just gave myself a real good dose of TLC as I rub it on my hands and feet.

Topical, Internal or Aromatic are the three great ways for our body to receive the benefits of using essential oils. Take a look at our catalog and read the information of the essential oils that I am proud to promote on Bella Rissah. Click on the doTERRA catalog.

Life More Abundantly

I am so pleased to share with you that I have started my own business and want to also share with you one of the essential's for our healthier lives.

I have had many opportunities to take one road or another and give this or that a try but could not afford to invest in a mistake and then later regret it. Who can? Now, I decided that I found something I can do and do it with all my heart because I already know of the benefits that are available in these products that I don't have to worry nor am embarrassed to tell you the wealth I found in taking care of myself.

As you may already know, I am interested in the healthier way of living: fruits and vegetables, smoothies, exercise, cut the sugar, very little bit of red meat (I do eat red meat but in small quantities, since I don't want to give it up entirely), drink more water, and I am happy. Yes, being happy is good for your health and mine.

One way of taking care of myself is Kristen and I use natural products most of the time. Kristen has her recipes for going "Al Naturale" and we use essential oils in those recipes.

Lately, for bed, I have been using peppermint oil on my neck, temples, in my hair, shoulders, and feet. I turn on the ceiling fan and go to sleep. I do this to get a restful nights sleep, a cool sleep. Have you put a couple of mints in your mouth and then breathed in through your mouth? A cool feeling, right? That is why I have been putting on the doTerra peppermint oil. I also noticed my hair has more volume and is healthier. I am monitoring it for thickness and re-growth. There are many benefits to all the essential oils but I am just speaking of the peppermint oil. It's my favorite!

A co-worker's doctor told her that she has an infection in her fatty cells and all they could do was give her itching cream, steriods and cortizone. No cure. She went to a specialist and was told it's an inflamation in the fatty cells and nothing can be done. Just use a specific cream to help with the itching. Yes, they gave her prescriptions for steroids. Uh, "No thank you."

I took the doTerra peppermint oil to work and shared with everyone I could. My co-worker put it on her leg with a few of us watching and we just sat back. This happened right in front of our eyes.

(This is before doTerra)

With one use of the doTerra peppermint oil, her leg began to look so much better.
(This was after doTerra)

I asked her to keep taking daily pictures.

She started using the doTerra frankincense oil...

And the dry skin is starting to peel.

So, now I am using the peppermint oil on my back to penetrate in to the area of where I have the most pain. I also rub it on my stomach. I found it is helping me with other issues that I have been dealing with and am seeing good results.

I wanted to use a name for the business that referred to my life in living for God with a scripture reference. The name of my business is, Life More Abundantly. Click here

Visit my site and see what benefits using the right Essential Oils can do for your better overall, Um...life, more abundantly. Try doTerra for yourself.

Need I say more?

Blessings,

Well, It Has Been a While Since...

Hello, friend!

I have had so many things going on for the last several months that I have not been able to catch up: from working overtime since October to current months, my mother and two sister's have been extremely sick (both sisters are doing better, mom is not very strong, we are still praying for healing) and then I had been sick. Whew, we started 2014 laid up in bed most days too weak to stand. But God has been faithful and good. Amen.

As for the overtime, I do not see when that is going to slow down nor stop anytime in the near future. Some days have been mandatory overtime while other days it is voluntary.

There is no place like Lush for pampering yourself than a facial, footwash and creaming your skin. I had the avacado mask applied to my face, the girls that were with us had the footwash and we all participated in the washing and creaming of our hands. Oh my! It was HEAVENLY and WONDERFUL! Each product has the name and picture of the person who made the product. Everything is made with natural products. They even have reservations for parties in their store after closing (that's when we did ours). We take a drive to Scottsdale to buy their products, its a bit long of a drive, but it is well worth it.

Feeling so much better after a little facial mask and massage.

I do hope you have been well since our last visit. It was good of you to stop by.
Blessings,

Cilantro Juice

On most mornings, I drink a vegetable or fruit juice: tomato, orange, cranberry or pink grapefruit. My favorite is the tomato and since I like it spicy, I get the Spicy V8. It can be a meal in itself and it tastes like a mild salsa. Lately, I have been wanting to try a cilantro juice because of it's color. We hear how the darker the vegetable the healthier it is for us. Researching the information and for recipes I found a variety of cilantro juices that I would like to try.

Some use the cilantro as a detox. Who would have ever thought this little herb that makes salsa taste so good would be extremely beneficial to our health? As stated in, We Like It Raw, "A Japanese investigator, Yoshiaki Omura, has made the revolutionary discovery that cilantro can mobilize mercury and other toxic metals from the central nervous system if large enough amounts are consumed daily. Reuters reports that cilantro contains a chemical which has been found to kill the Salmonella bacteria that cause foodborne illness.
The heavy metal detox capabilities of cilantro should also make it of great use in the treatment of depression, Alzheimer's disease, lack of concentration and other related disorders."

I decided to give it a try with items I already had in the cupboard and refrigerator. Here goes...
Cilantro Juice

Cilantro
Cucumber
Lemon
Lime
Serrano
Carrots
Cayenne
Flax Seed
*pinch of salt (optional)

I just put everything in the blender with water and made my salsa  juice. It was very good but I wanted to eat tortilla chips with it. Needs a little bit of garlic and just another pinch of salt and this salsa  juice would be wonderful. I think I will call my kids and ask them to pick up some chips on the way home. This is a salsa juice they are sure to enjoy and it is healthy for them, too.

I recommend following one of the more popular recipes for desired sweetness other than spicy (unless you want a cilantro salsa). Here's a few links you might want to visit.

Sarma's Cilantro Shake

and

and my Cilantro salsa Juice. (Heehee)

Stay healthy all summer long.
Thank you for visiting with me, today.

Refreshing Waters/Agua Frescas

With summer upon us staying hydrated is a must. The fruit juices such as the Agua Frescas of strawberries, melons, Jamaica (Hibiscus), the rice drink Horchata, mango and many more certainly satisfy our thirst on a hot day and provide a sense of feeling refreshed at the same time. But do not stop with just the fruit variety of drinks there are the vegetable drinks such as Cucumber Cilantro.
(see recipe below)

Since, Cilantro does not have a long shelf life, I will put a bunch of cilantro with water in the blender then pour it into ice trays and freeze for later use or I hang it to dry and store it for when I cook something that needs cilantro I just reach for the jar and crumble it in. It enhances the flavor of salsas, rice, fish, etc, etc.
There are many health benefits in cilantro and it is so nutritious as well as tasting so good.
Two sites that disclose the herbs qualities are:
"Cilantro is a member of the carrot family and Cilantro may be useful to treat urinary tract infections. Both the leaves and seeds aid digestion, relieve intestinal gas, pain and distention. They also treat nausea, soothe inflammation, rheumatic pain, headaches, coughs and mental stress" (simplystudded.com).

I have had days when all I wanted for dinner was a salad. It could have been because of the warm weather and not wanting a hot meal or because I didn't want to eat something heavy; just a light salad would do perfectly. After eating a few cucumbers slices I begin to feel cooled down. There are a variety of salads that we add cucumber to because it tastes so good and refreshing.

There are other uses for the cucumber such as spa therapy, and facials for it's rejuvenating effect to our skin.(Click on the picture and see #5 Create a Homemade Facial Mask)

Well, let's take those concepts of something light, refreshing and  rejuvenating and apply it to the inside of our bodies. That is what the Agua Frescas provide in a cooling drink; they are naturally healthy full of the vitamins that we need and they taste so good. They don't leave you feeling heavy and with an unsatisfied thirst as does soda with it's processed sugar. Here is an Agua Fresca that I make and I thought you might enjoy. Give it a try and see if you don't feel refreshed even as the day goes by.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so...And God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

All natural ingredients made by God for our good!

Cucumber Cilantro Agua Fresca

4 sprigs of cilantro
(tear some of the leaves to release the oils)
1 Sm. lemon sliced
1 Sm. lime sliced
1/2 Lg. cucumber sliced
1 pitcher of water

Combine ingredients in pitcher and refrigerate over night.

Optional:
Berries, mango, pineapple chunks
Club soda or ginger ale

Before serving, add your club soda or ginger ale. In a glass add ice, fruit, cilantro and Agua.
I like to add cilantro leaves and berries in my glass for garnish. I enjoy smelling the cilantro as I bring the glass to my mouth.

Enjoy and stay cool this summer and thank you for the visit.
